Terms and Conditions
In the event of damage, loss or theft the owners have strict terms in place.

In reference to the Terms and Conditions: ‘Hirer’- The person who is hiring the items from Heart Strings Hire and Style. ‘Owner’-The person who is the owner of Heart Strings Hire and Style item collection and creative director of all styling services.

1. Prices are valid 14 days of quotation 2. Quotes and invoices are GST INCLUSIVE 3. All items are hire basis only 6. Confirmed order and styling details must be given 60 days prior to the agreed hire/Styling date. 7. Final payment must be made no later than 30 days prior to booking date. 8. In the event of damages- the owner will issue the Hirer with a further invoice for the amount outstanding. The Hirer shall pay the outstanding amount within 7 days of the date of the invoice.  9. In the event of loss or theft- If the owner considers necessary to cover the cost of replacing any missing, damaged or broken items, a further invoice will be sent and need to be payed within 7days of invoice. 10. The owner reserves the right to amend or revise its prices or packages without notice; (this will not affect original quotes or invoices unless otherwise discussed) 11. The Hirer is obligated to accept full risk and responsibility for the hire items. 12. The Hirer shall comply with any special conditions specified by the owner. 13. The Hirer shall use the items in a proper, safe manner and only for the purpose and capacity for which it was designed. 14. The Hirer shall ensure all items are returned to the owner; (a) In a clean and dry condition (b) In satisfactory working order (c) In the same condition as it was delivered. 15. The Hired items must be collected and delivered in an enclosed trailer/ car if it is raining or tarps must be provided 16. The Items are for a 24 hour – 48 hour only (dependent on each individual piece), any items arriving back late will incur an extra charge of 100% per item. Bond will be kept accordingly. 17. We have a minimum spend of $500 on hire items for deliveries within 100km from Wangara and $2200 on hire items for delivery services that exceed 100km from Wangara. 18. Payment on any Heart Strings Hire and Style PTY LTD invoice is a constitute to an agreement of our Terms and conditions.
19. Insurance- the Hirer must maintain at its own expense all appropriate policies of insurance; the hire equipment is not insured out of Heart Strings Premises. 20. Cancellations and Additions;
(a) A 30% deposit is required to hold all bookings and is non-refundable. (b) In the event of styling services or hire item bookings being cancelled within 60 days of the agreed date, the Hirer shall pay 70% of the total amount shown in the invoice. If cancellation is received less than 30 days prior to hire date a cancellation fee of 100% of the total invoice may be required. (c) No changes can be made to an order within 60 days of the agreed hire date unless it is to swap an item or make additions (allowing they are still available). 21. The owner may terminate any agreement to hire equipment or perform styling services and recover the hire equipment at any time if the owner believes the safety of staff and hire items are at risk or hire items are being used inappropriately or for business purposes not related to Heart Strings and Pretty Things. 21. The owner may refuse to hire any items of equipment or perform styling service at its sole discretion time if the owner believes the safety of staff and hire items are at risk or hire items are being used inappropriately or for business purposes not related to Heart Strings and Pretty Things. 23. The hirer takes full responsibility for any items the owner has hired from any other vendors on behalf of hirer. The owner of Heart Strings is not liable for any damage, loss or theft of any sourced items organised for the hirer. Anything on the Heart Strings invoice is the responsibility of the hirer and any damage, loss or theft will be reimbursed by the hirer. 24. Any items returned dirty and not returned as they were hired out will be charged a cleaning fee.  Terms & Conditions 25. In no way are any of our hire items to be modified by the hirer, full replacement invoice will be issued if anything has been modified without written consent from Heart Strings.

STYLIST PLEASE NOTE; OWNERSHIP The Hirer agrees to not advertise or represent Heart Strings pieces as part of their own hire collection (including their website ‘hire’ albums), unless by authorised written consent. The Hirer may include Heart Strings pieces in photos used to represent their general styling work on their website or social media accounts, but may not catalogue them as pieces available for hire from their business.

COPYRIGHT Unauthorised use and/or duplication of Heart Strings Hire and Style images is strictly prohibited on business websites/ personal use ok.

Conditions for certain items:
Rain policy –In the case of rain, please ensure that all furniture and decorations are protected under cover and do not get wet. We reserve the right to cancel any order at any time if a marquee or shelter is not provided. Any water damaged items will need to be replaced at full cost.  Linen with stains or tears the hirer is responsible for Dry cleaning fees, recovering of lounge fees or full replacement of lounge / chairs.
Glassware: All glassware to be returned CLEAN.
 Aisle Carpets: NO COLOURED PETALS, BUBBLES OR COLOURED CONFETTI TO BE USED ON CARPETS.

A: Yes, the minimum hire on all wedding and event orders is $600 (not incl. deliver and collection fees). For our Kid’s Collection, the minimum hire fee is $200. For events south of Mandurah, the minimum hire fee during peak event season (October – May) is $4,000 and $2,000 during the other months of the year. For our styling team, our minimum hire spend is $600 and our chairs and /or tables are required to be used in these styling packages.

A: Bonds are required on all of our hired goods which will be released within 14 days of the order date. Final payments will be due one month prior to your event.

A: If you are placing an order that requires guest numbers, such as table and chair hire, we will need to have a confirmed number of guests no later than 8 weeks prior to the event.

A: Delivery and collection is not included in the hire price and is quoted per unique booking. The price of this service is based on the amount of staff required, venue access conditions, vehicles required, and quantity of hire items. As a guide, deliveries start from $130. Note: After-hour delivery and collection (6pm-7am) will incur additional fees.

A: Appointments are available for large furniture orders and styling consultations on Thursday’s between 1pm and 8pm. For ‘Hire only’ viewings, the maximum consultation visits are 2. Sorry, we don’t hold weekend appointments as we are always out on our events and please note we do not have a display showroom, our pieces are available for viewing in our storage warehouse. A: Any damages to hire items will incur a replacement/repair bill based on the damage and value of the item.

A: Our event provider recommendations are solely based on first-hand experience. We only recommend vendors with a high standard of work, industry professionalism, and great feedback from our clients. We do not receive any commission from our referrals and are more than happy to work with any supplier you choose for your event.

A: Chairs and tables are hired for 24 hours. If necessary, we are able to increase the hire period based on the needs of our other client events following/proceeding yours. We will advise you on the hire period flexibility closer to the date of your event. All other items are based on a hire period of 48 hours.

A: In the event of styling services or hire item bookings being cancelled within 60 days of the agreed date, you will be asked to pay 70% of the total amount shown in the invoice. Weddings and Events cancelled due to the Caronavirus (covid 19 ) only –

Payments made will not be refunded and will be held as a credit until December 2021. 

A: We only allow you to self-transport our dark wooden benches and garden chairs. This is because we use experienced staff to pack each vehicle and ensure that protective materials are used for each transportation – it is all about keeping our products in the best condition possible.

A: We are very proud of this collection and yes they are exclusive to our stylists. They cannot be used by external stylists/event planners. If you would like to consider a Heart Strings Hire and Style package that includes our small styling piece, please contact our team.

A: We prefer to use our own décor and styling goods when styling an event; however, we are happy to include some small pieces/sentimental elements.

2.2 – ‘Client’ The person who has employed Heart Strings Hire and Style to provide a service.
2.2 – ‘Owner’-The person who is the owner of Heart Strings Hire and Style hire collection and
creative director of all styling services.
3.0 Ownership
3.1 – The equipment supplied for hire always remains the property of the Owner
4.0 Prices and Payment of Hire Equipment
4.1 – Prices are valid for 14 days from the date of quotation
4.2 – Quotes are GST INCLUSIVE
4.3 – All items are hire basis only
4.4 – Confirmed orders and styling details must be given 30 days prior to the agreed hire/Styling
date.
4.5 – Payment must be made no later than 30 days prior to the event date.
4.6 – The Owner reserves the right to amend or revise its prices, terms and conditions, or packages
without notice, (this will not affect original prices on quotes or invoices unless otherwise
discussed)
4.7 – A 30% deposit is required to hold all bookings and is non-refundable.
5.0 Minimum Spend
5.1 – We have a minimum spend of $500 on hire items for deliveries within 100km from Wangara
and $2200 on hire items for delivery services that exceed 100km from Wangara.
5.2 – We have a minimum hire spend of $600 on furniture for a styling service to be provided unless
otherwise agreed by the owner.
6.0 Hirer Responsibilities and Obligations
6.1 – The Hirer is obligated to accept full risk and responsibility for the hire items.
6.2 – The Hirer shall comply with any special conditions specified by the Owner.
6.3 – The Hirer shall use the items in a proper, safe manner and only for the purpose and capacity
for which it was designed.
6.4 – The Hirer shall ensure all items are returned to the Owner;
(a) In a clean and dry condition
(b) In satisfactory working order
(c) Properly packaged.
6.5 – If the Hired items are being rented on a customer pickup basis, the items must be collected and
delivered in an enclosed trailer/ car.
6.6 – The Period of hire is for 24– 48 hours only (dependent on each individual piece) unless otherwise
agreed or advised by the Owner.
6.7 – The Correct event date, delivery time, collection time and delivery address must be advised and
confirmed by the client, it is the client’s responsibility to confirm correct information is noted on
the delivery invoice. If the incorrect address is sent the client may be liable for additional fees
involved for delivery to the correct address.
6.8 – After hour collections 7pm-5am must be advised no later than 30 days prior to event date.
Additional fees will apply for after hour services.
6.9 – The Hirer is responsible for providing vehicle access and parking for ease of delivery of Items.
6.10 – The Supplier must be notified in advance if the Hirer intends to use/move any Items to a location
other than the delivery location. In some instances, our team will need to return to relocate
these pieces for the client due to safety reasons. Additional fees may occur for this additional
service.
6.1.0 – Damaged Equipment
6.1.1 – In the event of damages- the Owner will issue the Hirer with a further invoice for the amount
outstanding. The Hirer shall pay the outstanding amount within 7 days of the date of the
invoice.
6.2.0 – Lost/Stolen Items
6.2.1 – In the event of loss or theft- If the Owner considers necessary to cover the cost of replacing
any missing, damaged, or broken items, a further invoice will be sent and needs to be paid
within 7days of invoice.
6.3.0 – Insurance
6.3.1 – The Hirer must maintain at its own expense all appropriate policies of insurance, the hire
equipment is not insured out of Heart Strings Premises.
6.4.0 – Release and Indemnity
6.4.1 – The Hirer hereby releases the Owner from, and agrees to indemnify the owner in respect of
any third-party claims, action, suits, demands, costs and expenses for damage or injury to
person, death, loss of income or damage caused to the Hirer or its property arising directly or
indirectly out of the hire or use of the equipment by the Hirer or these terms.
6.5.0 – Health and Safety
6.5.1 – In any instance the government has recommended or has enforced social distancing guidelines,
the Hirer must respect the health and safety of the members of our team and adhere to these
distancing recommendations. It is expected our team will do so in return.
6.5.2 – If an infectious outbreak such as Covid 19 or any other serious or life-threatening infection/
disease has occurred at or post an event where Heart String Hire and style’s inventory has been
in use or where our staff have potentially been exposed, the Hirer is obligated to notify Heart
Strings Hire and Style management immediately.
6.5.3 – The Hirer hereby releases the Owner from liability should an infectious or life-threatening
illness or disease (including Covid 19) arises directly or indirectly from the use of the Owner’s
equipment or services.

7.0 Cancellations and Additions.
7.1 – In the event of a booking being cancelled within 60 days of the agreed date, the Hirer shall pay
70% of the total amount shown in the invoice. If cancellation is received less than 30 days prior
to the booking date a cancellation fee of 100% of the total invoice is required.
7.2 – If the client cannot legally continue with the event date due to government bans on social
gatherings of 100 + people and strict social distancing guidelines in Western Australia due to a
pandemic (such as Covid 19) the client will be exempt from term 7.1 if their initial deposit was
paid after the 1st April 2020. This does not apply to bookings cancelled due to interstate,
intrastate or international travel bans if the event can still legally go ahead with 100 + people.
7.2 – No changes can be made by to an order within 60 days of the agreed hire date unless it is to swap
an item or make additions (allowing they are still available). We will however accept a 20%
reduction in chair and table quantities up to 30 days prior to your booking date.
8.0 Cancellations or changes due to Coronavirus
8.0 – If you are required to cancel your wedding or event due to coronavirus related reasons 60-0 days
prior to the event date, 100% of the monies paid will be transferable to another date once the
event has been rescheduled. Please note the items booked are subject to availability so we ask
you to please consult with us prior to confirming your new date.
8.1 – Clients who have paid the remaining 70% of their balance post 1st April 2020 are entitle to a
refund of the full 70% if the event cannot legally go ahead due to government bans on group
gatherings of 100 + and social distancing laws enforced in Western Australia on or within 14
days of the booking date.
8.2 – If the Client decides to postpone or cancel an event due to travel restrictions and a decrease in
guest numbers Heart Strings Hire and Style management must be notified no later than 60 days
prior to the event date. Refunds will not be given if the event can still legally go ahead.
9.0 Inspection on delivery
As part of the owner’s stringent quality assurance process, all equipment is checked, counted, and
cleaned prior to dispatch. It is the Hirer’s responsibility to check all the ordered equipment on delivery
or collection and the Hirer must notify the owner of any breakages or missing items within two hours
of receiving the equipment for hire. The Hirer acknowledges that it is aware of the proper use for
which the equipment hired is designed and it has inspected the equipment and expressly agrees that
the equipment is:
9.1 in clean condition;
9.2 in satisfactory working order;
9.3 is fit for the purpose; and
9.4 is of a quality and specifications as ordered.
10.0 Inspection on Return
10.1 – Any items returned or collected dirty and not in the same condition as they were hired out will
be charged a cleaning fee.
10.2- In no way are any hire items to be modified by the hirer, full replacement invoice will be
issued if anything has been modified without written consent from Heart Strings.
11.0 Force Majeure
11.1 – If the Supplier is unable at any time to perform any of its obligations whether wholly or partly
by reason of any cause beyond its control (including without limitation, acts of god, inclement
weather, strikes, lockouts, fires, riots, civil commotion or unrest, interference by civil or military
authorities or act of war) the Supplier may give written notice to that effect to the Hirer, giving
full particulars of such force majeure in which case the obligations of the Supplier under these
terms shall, to the extent that they are affected by the force majeure, be suspended during the
term of the force majeure.
11.2 – The Supplier shall not be liable for any loss or damage suffered by the Hirer as a
result of any delays caused by such force majeure events.
12.0 Copyright
12.1 – Unauthorized use and/or duplication of Heart Strings Hire and Style images is strictly prohibited
on other business websites/ personal use will be the only exception.
12.2 – Unauthorized duplication of Heart Strings custom built designs/ products is strictly prohibited.
12.3 – The Hirer agrees to not advertise or represent Heart Strings pieces as part of their own hire
collection (including their website ‘hire’ albums), unless by authorized written consent. The
Hirer may include Heart Strings collection in photos used to represent their general styling work
on their website or social media accounts but may not catalogue them as pieces available for
hire from their business.
13.0 Photography, Social Media, and Marketing
13.1 – Heart Strings Hire and Style reserves the right to take photos of events/ setups where their work
has been featured and use these images for self-promotion and marketing purposes which will
include but not limited to social media and website galleries.
13.2 – The Owner agrees to hold off from uploading any images to social media until after the clients
event start time.
13.3 – If the Hirer / Client prefers Heart Strings does not photograph the event or use the images on
social media, they must advise prior to the event day.
13.4 Where Heart Strings items or styling work are featured in any publication, the Hirer or event
organiser agrees to credit Heart Strings as the owner of the items if referenced.
13.5 Where items are provided for free or at a discounted rate in exchange for marketing contra,
i.e. for a photoshoot, promotional event or other, Heart Strings must be credited in any
photos published in print, online or on social media and where possible, verbally at the
event itself.
13.6 If professional photography is supplied to the Owner, the Owner agree to credit the
photographer and any other key vendors involved that we have knowledge of.
13.7 Social media credits should be tagged as ‘@heart_strings_hire_n_style’ for Instagram or
‘Heart Strings Hire and Stye’ for Facebook.
14.0 Owner Rights
14.1 – The Owner reserves the right to terminate any agreement to hire equipment or perform styling
services and recover the hire equipment at any time if the owner believes the safety of staff and
hire items are at risk or hire items are being used inappropriately or for business purposes not
related to Heart Strings Hire and Style Pty Ltd.
14.2- The owner may refuse to hire any items of equipment or perform styling service at its sole
discretion time if the owner believes the safety of staff and hire items are at risk or hire items
are being used inappropriately or for business purposes not related to Heart Strings Hire and
Style Ltd Pty.
14.3 – The hirer takes full responsibility for any items the owner has hired from any other vendors on
behalf of hirer. The Owner of Heart Strings is not liable for any damage, loss, or theft of any
sourced items organised for the hirer. Anything on the Heart Strings invoice is the responsibility
of the hirer and any damage, loss or theft will be reimbursed by the hirer.
14.4. These Terms can only be amended by the Supplier.
15.0 Miscellaneous
15.1 – The Owner reserve the right to cancel any order at any time if a marquee or shelter or
sufficient grounds are not provided. It is the Hirers responsibility to ensure the hired items are
protected from rain, moisture, and sprinkler damage. The Hirer will be liable for any water or
moisture damaged items and will be issued with an invoice for repair or replacement which must be
paid within 7 days post event.
15.2 – Coloured petals, coloured paper confetti and bubbles are not to be used on any Carpet
surfaces.

A: A 30% deposit is required to hold your order. We get a lot of enquiries; therefore, a deposit is required for us to hold your order just for you. Our Ts&Cs document will be sent along with your deposit invoice and payment of this invoice also means an agreement of all terms and conditions.

A: Yes, the minimum hire on all wedding and event orders is $600 (not incl. deliver and collection fees). For our Kid’s Collection, the minimum hire fee is $200. For events south of Mandurah, the minimum hire fee during peak event season (October – May) is $4,000 and $2,000 during the other months of the year. For our styling team, our minimum hire spend is $600 and our chairs and /or tables are required to be used in these styling packages.

A: Bonds are required on all of our hired goods which will be released within 14 days of the order date. Final payments will be due one month prior to your event.

A: If you are placing an order that requires guest numbers, such as table and chair hire, we will need to have a confirmed number of guests no later than 8 weeks prior to the event.

A: Delivery and collection is not included in the hire price and is quoted per unique booking. The price of this service is based on the amount of staff required, venue access conditions, vehicles required, and quantity of hire items. As a guide, deliveries start from $130. Note: After-hour delivery and collection (6pm-7am) will incur additional fees.

A: Appointments are available for large furniture orders and styling consultations on Thursday’s between 1pm and 8pm. For ‘Hire only’ viewings, the maximum consultation visits are 2. Sorry, we don’t hold weekend appointments as we are always out on our events and please note we do not have a display showroom, our pieces are available for viewing in our storage warehouse. A: Any damages to hire items will incur a replacement/repair bill based on the damage and value of the item.

A: Our event provider recommendations are solely based on first-hand experience. We only recommend vendors with a high standard of work, industry professionalism, and great feedback from our clients. We do not receive any commission from our referrals and are more than happy to work with any supplier you choose for your event.

A: Chairs and tables are hired for 24 hours. If necessary, we are able to increase the hire period based on the needs of our other client events following/proceeding yours. We will advise you on the hire period flexibility closer to the date of your event. All other items are based on a hire period of 48 hours.

A: In the event of styling services or hire item bookings being cancelled within 60 days of the agreed date, you will be asked to pay 70% of the total amount shown in the invoice. If cancellation is received less than 30 days prior to hire date, a cancellation fee of 100% of the total invoice is required. Weddings and Events cancelled due to the Caronavirus (covid 19 ) only –

Payments made will not be refunded and will be held as a credit until December 2021. 

A: We only allow you to self-transport our dark wooden benches and garden chairs. This is because we use experienced staff to pack each vehicle and ensure that protective materials are used for each transportation – it is all about keeping our products in the best condition possible.

A: We are very proud of this collection and yes they are exclusive to our stylists. They cannot be used by external stylists/event planners. If you would like to consider a Heart Strings Hire and Style package that includes our small styling piece, please contact our team.

A: We prefer to use our own décor and styling goods when styling an event; however, we are happy to include some small pieces/sentimental elements.

The hirer takes full responsibility for any items the owner has hired from any other vendors on behalf of hirer. The owner of Heart Strings is not liable for any damage, loss or theft of any sourced items organised for the hirer. Anything on the Heart Strings invoice is the responsibility of the hirer and any damage, loss or theft will be reimbursed by the hirer. 24. Any items returned dirty and not returned as they were hired out will be charged a cleaning fee.  Terms & Conditions 25. In no way are any of our hire items to be modified by the hirer, full replacement invoice will be issued if anything has been modified without written consent from Heart Strings.

STYLIST PLEASE NOTE; OWNERSHIP The Hirer agrees to not advertise or represent Heart Strings pieces as part of their own hire collection (including their website ‘hire’ albums), unless by authorised written consent. The Hirer may include Heart Strings pieces in photos used to represent their general styling work on their website or social media accounts, but may not catalogue them as pieces available for hire from their business.

COPYRIGHT Unauthorised use and/or duplication of Heart Strings Hire and Style images is strictly prohibited on business websites/ personal use ok.

Conditions for certain items:
Rain policy –In the case of rain, please ensure that all furniture and decorations are protected under cover and do not get wet. We reserve the right to cancel any order at any time if a marquee or shelter is not provided. Any water damaged items will need to be replaced at full cost.  Linen with stains or tears the hirer is responsible for Dry cleaning fees, recovering of lounge fees or full replacement of lounge / chairs.
Glassware: All glassware to be returned CLEAN.
 Aisle Carpets: NO COLOURED PETALS, BUBBLES OR COLOURED CONFETTI TO BE USED ON CARPETS.

A: A 30% deposit is required to hold your order. We get a lot of enquiries; therefore, a deposit is required for us to hold your order just for you. Our Ts&Cs document will be sent along with your deposit invoice and payment of this invoice also means an agreement of all terms and conditions.

A: Yes, the minimum hire on all wedding and event orders is $600 (not incl. deliver and collection fees). For our Kid’s Collection, the minimum hire fee is $200. For events south of Mandurah, the minimum hire fee during peak event season (October – May) is $4,000 and $2,000 during the other months of the year. For our styling team, our minimum hire spend is $600 and our chairs and /or tables are required to be used in these styling packages.

A: Bonds are required on all of our hired goods which will be released within 14 days of the order date. Final payments will be due one month prior to your event.

A: If you are placing an order that requires guest numbers, such as table and chair hire, we will need to have a confirmed number of guests no later than 8 weeks prior to the event.

A: Delivery and collection is not included in the hire price and is quoted per unique booking. The price of this service is based on the amount of staff required, venue access conditions, vehicles required, and quantity of hire items. As a guide, deliveries start from $130. Note: After-hour delivery and collection (6pm-7am) will incur additional fees.

A: Appointments are available for large furniture orders and styling consultations on Thursday’s between 1pm and 8pm. For ‘Hire only’ viewings, the maximum consultation visits are 2. Sorry, we don’t hold weekend appointments as we are always out on our events and please note we do not have a display showroom, our pieces are available for viewing in our storage warehouse. A: Any damages to hire items will incur a replacement/repair bill based on the damage and value of the item.

A: Our event provider recommendations are solely based on first-hand experience. We only recommend vendors with a high standard of work, industry professionalism, and great feedback from our clients. We do not receive any commission from our referrals and are more than happy to work with any supplier you choose for your event.

A: Chairs and tables are hired for 24 hours. If necessary, we are able to increase the hire period based on the needs of our other client events following/proceeding yours. We will advise you on the hire period flexibility closer to the date of your event. All other items are based on a hire period of 48 hours.

A: In the event of styling services or hire item bookings being cancelled within 60 days of the agreed date, you will be asked to pay 70% of the total amount shown in the invoice. If cancellation is received less than 30 days prior to hire date, a cancellation fee of 100% of the total invoice is required. No changes can be made to an order within 30 days of the agreed hire date unless it is to swap an item or make additions (based on availability). 

Weddings and events cancelled due to Coronavirus ( Covid 19 ) reasons only: In the event you can no longer continue with your booking due to Coronavirus complications: Payments made 30-0 days prior to your event date will be 100% transferable to a new booking date once your event has been rescheduled. No refunds will be issued. 

A: We only allow you to self-transport our dark wooden benches and garden chairs. This is because we use experienced staff to pack each vehicle and ensure that protective materials are used for each transportation – it is all about keeping our products in the best condition possible.

A: We are very proud of this collection and yes they are exclusive to our stylists. They cannot be used by external stylists/event planners. If you would like to consider a Heart Strings Hire and Style package that includes our small styling piece, please contact our team.

A: We prefer to use our own décor and styling goods when styling an event; however, we are happy to include some small pieces/sentimental elements.
